Lessons from God

I want to write about the wisdom God blessed me with immediately when I learned what happened to my wife. God reinforces this specific wisdom daily: "Do not to act in a manner that will allow the company to highlight my poor behavior and thus shift the focus away from their illegal behavior."

The image God has given me is a compilation of villains and monsters I have seen throughout my life. The monster is on its back, its centipede like feet flail in the air, and a white hot spotlight shines directly on it. I hear popping grease, a sizzle akin to a cold steak when its initially put on a hot grill, and smoke rising off its soft underbelly. It's squealing. Writhing. A tantrum.  It does not want to be exposed. This is Satan and this is the company that has treated her so poorly.

The only way for Satan to get out of the light exposing his evil deeds and wicked ways is to wait for Christ Followers to falter. When Christians falter, the spotlight moves off Satan to focus those on those "counterfeit hypocritical judgmental spiritual frauds" or any other derogatory label that discredits God's people. What happens to people who want nothing more than do God's work is they end up defending their actions and words rather than exposing Satan's lies and evil deeds.  Satan, then and only then, can escape into the shadows.

When we, humans, get emotional, our ability to think critically diminishes. It leaves us. Gone. Emotions blind us and thus the more emotional we become, the less we analyze information accurately.   Rage, usually fueled by ignorance, is one extreme while arrogance, fueled by pride, is the other. This truth about this inverse relationship has been on display since August. The calmer we are, it seems to make them, the company, more emotional. The more emotional the company becomes, the more mistakes they make... some so huge that they may never recover. The calmer we are, the better we think and therefore respond or, more recently, choose not respond at all. The calmer we are, the more we glorify and honor God and reflect His character.

God is good all the time... and... all the time God is good.
