Wisdom Like This

WISDOM:
  1. Recognize IT.
  2. Absorb IT.
  3. Practice IT.
This is actually a prior entry I thought was worthy to post again:  David Merkel manages investment accounts.  He has a blog, The Aelph Blog, where he comments on financial issues daily.  He says he is an Evangelical Christian and I have no reason to believe otherwise.  You can read about him here.  He has a great post about the middle class and five or so reasons why the middle class should shrink.  You can read his entire post hereNumbers two and three are worth a look.

2.  Education — middle classes in the developed world were relatively large when the education systems produced a large portion of the educated people of the world.  That is no longer so, and relative education levels have tipped against the US.  Any surprise that we fall behind?

3.  Lazy choices — especially for college majors and job choices; the “follow your bliss” theory is not the best advice if no one wants to fund your bliss.  All prosperity comes through serving the needs of others.  Follow their bliss, not yours, and you will do well.

Wisdom like that (red font) doesn't appear often.  It will serve you well if you apply it to your life.  I wish I had it as a high school student, hence why I posted it twice now.

Have a good and godly day.                    Comments
