Curious why: 

1. Motivational speeches or events aren't usually targeted to girls?
2. Why the sports theme is so prevalent? 
3. Why does Christ seem to be excluded?

Although Jesus Christ isn't mentioned, the video below is very good.  It gets most of it right.  Dedication, discipline, passion, sacrifice, and so on as the keys to experience joy.
