The Shrewdest Beast

God called Satan the shrewdest beast of the field, a murderer from the beginning, and the Father of lies.

But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11:12-15

He is very good at framing his falsehoods and lies as just a helping hand to lift us up so we can prosper. His greatest deception is to make us believe the "fruit" he offers is of God, affirms the Gospel, and honors the name of Jesus Christ.

And when the woman saw that the tree [was] for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Genesis 3:6

Make no mistake, he will deceive us just as he deceived Eve. And, those who expose the deception will be labeled as divisive, hateful, bigoted, intolerant, ignorant, unloving, etc etc etc and then told it is they who are the one being deceived and doing Satan's bidding.

For a time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine, instead to suit their own desires they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3

The "fruit" presented will be so seductive and pleasing and desirable that we MUST pause to consider if its of God. It will appear to possess the character of God. The Church will partake of the "fruit" and pass it on to others so they can eat.

And that is the blueprint for how Satan conducts his business.

June 14, 2020: Chicago police cancel days off, switch to 12-hour shifts

Chicago police officers on Sunday were once again ordered to work 12-hour shifts and have their days off canceled amid some protesting that has persisted in parts of the city.

Until further notice, Chicago officers who are on active duty and not on vacation will have to work the 12-hour shifts — a normal shift is about 8½ hours — and come in on their days off.

Any rational thinking person sees the huge contradiction as leaders' calls for "defunding the police" is supposed to mean "less policing" not more. Chicago is doing it wrong.
